Actor, entertainer, comedian, and LGBTQ+ Activist, Miss Coco Peru shares their story of past bullying as early as childhood, trauma from surviving an accident at 16, and how creating shows unite and connect parents, kids, and community; “my story is their story.” Coco shares, “what once was a weed is someone’s food…look at dandelions…once a weed and now a gem.” That is how they see their story; they’re a shining gem!

Clif's newly released book, Mindfulness without the Bells and Beads: Unlocking Exceptional Performance, Leadership, and Well-being for Working Professionals (2021, Wiley) introduces to readers a way to cultivate an effective mindfulness practice free from spiritual undertones.
In our conversation, Clif shares his experiences growing up as a child who barely graduated from high school and how using mindfulness-based techniques helped him overcome self-doubt and other limiting beliefs. He further shares how mindfulness cultivates skills to respond to challenges and situations effectively as well as how to handle even the most difficult conversations.
